I’ve learned that a healthy amount of scepticism is needed when it comes to film or TV deals, but the rights to the Jack Tanner novels have been bought by Green Door Pictures, Idris Elba’s production company, and they are actively working with Carnival (Downton Abbey etc.) to get Tanner into production. Briefs have been written, there’s lots of chat, and the timing is good, so fingers crossed. First thoughts are to combine Odin Mission and Darkest Hour into a first series. But who knows?
