And another good day.  I also came across some truly staggering statistics about the number of Italian women suffering from some form of VD in 1944.  Not only have I found much good German material, I have also learnt a lot about the state of Southern Italy once the front line had moved northwards – and it was, frankly, desperate.  It’s something I hadn’t really considered before.
