Spoke to Hans Kumberg again today, this time by telephone to his home in Toronto.  Telephone interviews work fine now that I can record the conversation digitally, and so long as I’ve already met the person I’m speaking to.  I am convinced that you need to interview people face to face.  After all, why should anyone trust a faceless voice on the telephone with important personal memories?  Anyway, it was a good conversation.
